College Chapel kicks off Sept. 1 with theme of “Change Makers”

Change Makers: People who have made a difference in our lives and in the world College Chapel Thursdays 9:50-10:20am (same as College Coffee but on Thursday) Whitley Auditorium

This year speakers from among staff, faculty, students and guests will be invited to reflect on individuals they would lift up as having made a difference in their own lives and/or in the larger community and world. We hope this will include world figures, teachers, friends, grandparents, community leaders, etc.

For those new to Elon or who have never attended Chapel, we seek to create a time and space to take a break from the busyness of our hectic schedules and to refresh the spirit. Chapel is not a “worship service,” rather a time of reflection offered by a member of the Elon community or a guest speaker. Make plans to take a break for a few minutes each Thursday in Whitley Auditorium for presentations by faculty, staff, guest speakers and students, complimented by live music offered by talented student & faculty musicians. Refreshments and conversation conclude our time each week. All are welcome!

Thursday, September 1, 9:50-10:20am Whitley Auditorium
Speaker: Rev. Phil Smith, Associate University Chaplain & Director of Religious Life
Music: Greg Honan ’14, alto saxophone
