Several student groups got an early taste of Homecoming spirit by participating in the Student Alumni Council's inaugural Homecoming Banner Contest.

The 5th annual Carolina Classic Mock Trial Invitational included 24 teams representing 19 colleges and universities from across the country.

An acclaimed poet visits Elon University as a guest of the Liberal Arts Forum.

The Oct. 25 recital in Whitley Auditorium features John and Richard Contiguglia assisted by guest percussionists John Beck and Wiley Sykes.

The Elon Law student organization Society for Health Law & Bioethics will co-sponsor with the Office of Career Services a panel presentation focusing on careers in Healthcare Law. Panelists will share their career paths, describe their current positions and provide advice on anyone seeking a career in this practice area. At a later date another panel will address Healthcare Reform, but we have asked each panelist to devote a brief portion of their presentation to how Healthcare Reform has impacted their practice/clients.

Associate professor Stephen A. Futrell in the Department of Music appeared as guest vocal soloist with the Spelman College Glee Club and Spelman College music faculty in an Oct. 17 tribute concert to Willie T. Johnson and the Golden Gate Quartet.
