With less than three days to go until they receive their diplomas from Elon University, hundreds of graduating seniors feasted together at a picnic outside Moseley Center where they mingled with the professors and staff members who served as mentors over the past four years.

Guests at the Senior Class Picnic Lunch for graduates and Elon faculty & staff dined under two large white tents between Moseley and the Loy Center. Those in attendance feasted on pork barbecue, chicken, potato and pasta salads, coleslaw and cookies.

The Office of Alumni Engagement organized the event with support from the Provost’s Office. Alumni staff members encouraged seniors to join IGNITE, the university’s young alumni giving program, by making a gift to their alma mater.

Cut-out mortarboards dangled from the dining tents with the names of students, parents and grandparents who have contributed to the senior class gift. A balloon archway welcomed visitors to the event.
