Mark J. Brewin Jr., who graduated from Elon in 2007, has won a major award for his poetry, the 2012 Agha Shahid Ali Poetry Prize. Mark's book of poems, "Palace Depression," will be published this spring by the University of Utah Press.
This contest is open to poets writing in English, from any country in the world, who have already published book-length collections of poems or who have only published in magazines. In other words, he has accomplished something amazing!
