Cherrel Miller Dyce was the keynote speaker for the North Carolina Council of Education Opportunity Programs

Cherrel Miller Dyce, assistant professor in the School of Education, was the keynote speaker for The North Carolina Council of Education Opportunity Programs (NCCEOP) 40th Annual Fall Conference, held in Greensboro, NC.

NCCEOP is the professional organization for TRIO programs in North Carolina. Dr Dyce’s keynote was titled Recruitment, Retention, and Responsibility: The Role of College Personnel in Sustaining First-Generation Students. In her address, Dr. Dyce encouraged the audience that they were the lifeline in the pipeline to college for many low-income, first-generation and minority students.
