Elon University School of Communications student and junior strategic communications major Heather Harder was elected to Vice President of Member Services for the Public Relations Student Society of America National Committee April 6 during the National PRSSA Assembly in Albuquerque, N.M.

The 15 students and professionals on the PRSSA National Committee serve 11,000 members across the nation and in Argentina. The vice president of member services assists chapters with recruitment and promotes the benefits of PRSSA membership.

To be elected, candidates must submit an application, deliver a speech and participate in a question-and-answer session with the other candidates. Approximately 109 chapter delegates attended this year’s National Assembly to vote for the new National Committee members.
