Elon University participates in Martin Luther King, Jr. commemorative readings – April 16

Elon faculty, staff and community members will participate in the global readings and events commemorating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr's "Letter from a Birmingham Jail."

Faculty and students from across the university will be joined by University Chaplain Jan Fuller, Chaplain Emeritus Richard McBride and community members, including Town of Elon police, during College Coffee on April 16 to read sections of the letter.

The event is free and open to the public and all members of the Elon University community. It is sponsored by the K. Wilhelmina Boyd Office of African & African-American Studies, the new Poverty and Social Justice minor and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
