A talk on Queen Victoria and today's mass shootings

Please join us for an interesting talk that will bring together issues of violence, mental illness, the legal system and Queen Victoria.

Paul Murphy, the author of “Shooting Victoria,” an award-winning account of seven failed assassination attempts against Queen Victoria, argues that history can help us explain the apparently inexplicible. He suggests that the minds and motivations of those perpetuating mass killings in the U.S. can be related to the seemingly distant Victorian era.
