Tibetan Buddhist monks will construct a sand mandala for healing and peace during a period of three days. Viewers are encouraged to frequently stop by and see its progress. An opening ceremony will begin the process at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1, and a closing ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, in which the mandala is deconstructed and the sand is shared with the community and the earth.
