Sand mandala to be constructed Nov. 1-3 in Numen Lumen Pavilion

Tibetan Buddhist monks will construct a sand mandala for healing and peace during a period of three days.  

Tibetan Buddhist monks will construct a sand mandala for healing and peace within the Sacred Space in the Numen Lumen Pavilion.

Viewers are encouraged to stop by frequently and observe progress on the sand mandala during the three-day event.

An opening ceremony will begin the process at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1 and a closing ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, in which the mandala will be deconstructed and the sand shared with the community and the earth.
