The list is compiled annually by Poets & Quants, a business education news outlet that highlights notable seniors from the top 50 business schools in the country.

Business education news outlet Poets & Quants has named Elon seniors Matthew Jegier and Nicole Resetar to its “Best & Brightest Business Majors” list for 2018.

Poets & Quants annually highlights the accomplishments of seniors selected from the top 50 business schools in the country. In its most recent rankings, Poets & Quants ranked Elon’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business as No. 48 among the best undergraduate business schools in the country.

The outlet notes that many included in the list have already landed highly coveted jobs at many of the most-admired companies, including Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Tesla, McKinsey and JP Morgan Chase.

“The landscape of the business major has evolved a great deal over the years,” said Jeff Schmitt, staff writer for Poets & Quants for Undergrads. “Rather than focusing on the trappings of financial success, this years’ graduating students are more concerned with impact and social change. The shifting priorities of the next generation of business leaders from the top business schools may result in greater changes for business down the road. We are thrilled to profile these students.”

Originally from Charlotte, N.C., Jegier is a finance and data analytics management major who will be working for Ernst & Young as a business consultant in the Business Advisory Program for Financial Services Organizations in Charlotte after graduating in May. A Business Fellow, Jegier has studied abroad in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Spain and South Africa during his time at Elon and is a goalkeeper with the men’s soccer program.
