Jesse McCartney, Sean Kingston to headline Nov. 3 Homecoming concert

The concert, which will feature special guest Quinn XCII, will be the first to be held in Elon's new Schar Center.

Elon University will welcome Jesse McCartney, Sean Kingston and special guest Quinn XCII to the stage on Nov. 3 for the Homecoming concert.

Hosted by the Student Union Board and the Student Government Association, the 8 p.m. event will be the first concert to be held in the new Schar Center, which opened earlier this year. The artists were selected based on the results of a survey of students.

“With the Schar Center online, and another exciting year ahead of us, SUB knew we wanted to bring an event to campus that was different than any other show we have done before,” said Colton Cadarette ’19, the Student Union Board’s concert director. “Through the results collected from the survey, we were able to narrow the list down to a show that brings together a spectrum of musical tastes and highlights such an important milestone at Elon.”

Tickets to the event are free for Elon students and must be reserved on the Student Union Board PhoenixCONNECT page beginning Sept. 26. Students will have the option to request one general admission floor, lower bowl or upper mezzanine ticket. Tickets must be picked up the week of the show.

After Oct. 17, any remaining tickets will be available for students to purchase for $20 the day of the show at the Schar Center Box Office. There will be no free student tickets distributed on the day of the show. They must be reserved online via PhoenixCONNECT by Oct. 17.

A limited amount of tickets for faculty and staff will also be made available and can be reserved on PhoenixCONNECT through Oct. 17. For additional ticket information visit www.elonsub.org/HOCO18.

Tickets for Alumni will be made available through Homecoming Registration and coordinated through the Office of Alumni Engagement.

Tickets for the public can be purchased online through the Student Union Board website for $30 beginning Oct. 10.

All three artists will be the first ever to perform in Schar Center in what promises to be the biggest Homecoming Concert to date. The Homecoming Concert joins an impressive line-up of more than 75 SUB sponsored events all semester long. For more information, or to get involved, visit www.elonsub.org.
