Active Citizen Series: October Democratic Presidential Primary Debate Watch Event

Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. in the Moseley Student Center

The Elon community is invited to gather to watch the October Democratic primary debate hosted by CNN and the New York Times.

This Oct. 15 event is part of a series crafted to allow students to gain a deeper understanding of how government works and to develop the necessary skills to engage in civil discourse across political divides.

The Active Citizen Series is designed to cultivate the next generation of informed leaders who will help strengthen communities and shape our democracy.

The following candidates are scheduled to appear: former Vice President Joe Biden, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, California Sen. Kamala Harris, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, businessman Tom Steyer, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and businessman Andrew Yang.
