Join us for a virtual poetry reading by a very talented young poet!
Tyree Daye, visiting poet at Elon this fall, grew up in North Carolina and now teaches at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He’s the author of two books of poems: RIVER HYMNS, which is great, and CARDINAL, which will be great—it is being published on October 6th.

At the reading, Daye will be announcing the winners of the annual Frederick Hartmann Poetry Contest, sponsored by an alum, William Maness.
To enter the contest, submit one or two poems to Kevin Boyle with your name on the poem(s). No hard copies this year. Please send an email with the poems attached to boylek@elon.edu. In the subject, please put the words Poetry Contest. The deadline is Thursday, October 15th at 6:00 PM.
