Rochelle Ford discusses diversity, equity and inclusion on ‘Women in PR’ podcast

The dean of the School of Communications appeared on the June 11 podcast with host Ana Adi, a professor of public relations and corporate communications in Germany.

School of Communications Dean Rochelle Ford made a guest appearance on the “Women in PR” podcast on June 11 to discuss a myriad of topics relating to the public relations industry, concentrating on its need to embrace and champion diversity, equity and inclusion.

Ford and host Ana Adi, a professor of public relations and corporate communications at Quadriga University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany, spoke for nearly an hour, providing an honest conversation about the PR industry’s lack of diversity and the problems that arise because of this issue, especially during a time featuring political and social movements.

“Women in PR” is a weekly podcast that aims to inspire women working in the public relations field. It is hosted by Quadriga University of Applied Sciences and has published 15 podcasts since its launch last year. Past guests include Edna Ayme-Yahil, corporate head of marketing and communications at Panalpina in Switzerland, and Ildiko Kovacs, head of locations communications, manufacturing tires, at Continental in Germany.

Ford previously appeared on the PRWeek podcast in fall 2019 to discuss the education and training future public relations professionals.
