Elon’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma inducts new members

The international business honor society recognized top-performing students during a May 2 induction ceremony featuring a keynote address by Christopher Craige, an executive-in-residence for the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, and award presentations to two faculty members.

Elon University’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International, inducted new members during a May 2 ceremony in the LaRose Digital Theatre.

Membership in the honor society is the highest recognition a business student can receive. The 61 inductees represent the top 10 percent of the junior and senior classes in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, as well as the top 20 percent of the graduating class in the MBA, MSBA, MSA, and MScM programs.

Raghu Tadepalli, dean of the Love School of Business and Beta Gamma Sigma chapter president, led the ceremony.

Keynote speaker Christopher Craige spoke to inductees about the purpose of business and ethical leadership. Craige is a recently retired U.S. Air Force Major General and today serves as an executive-in-residence for the Love School of Business.

Morillon joined Elon in 2019 after completing his doctorate in finance from the University of Missouri. His research interests include mergers and acquisitions, international finance, corporate governance, and real estate. Prior to his academic career, Morillon was a financial advisor at LCL Bank.
