Elon in LA concludes fall semester

Elon in Los Angeles just wrapped up another successful semester. The program is looking forward to the Spring semester ahead.

The Elon in Los Angeles program just concluded its fall 2023 semester, hosting a number of students in L.A. The program consists of students living in Los Angeles, while taking courses, working at an internship, and exploring the city with program-led events.

This semester, the program had numerous visits and excursions to places across the city. The group toured the Warner Bros. Studio, attended a Los Angeles Kings Game, took day trips to Catalina Island and Santa Barbara, explored Downtown L.A. and Santa Monica and saw Aladdin at the historic Pantages Theater.

The courses this semester focused on various topics in entertainment and Los Angeles. The courses included LA Entertainment Public Relations, LA Strategic Campaigns, Media Law & Ethics and Issues in LA Art & Architecture. The students worked on building a strategic marketing plan for a non-profits in the city and visited several iconic museums and historic sites.

All students completed internships in various areas of the industry, including public relations, fashion, music production and marketing agencies. The internships provided students with real-world experience, allowing them to grow both in the classroom and professionally.

The Elon in LA program hosted several alumni events with Elon alumni in the L.A. area. The events were held at Second Home and included panels, speed-mentorship, and meet-and-greets. The events allowed the students to grow their professional network and practice their networking skills with over 25 different alumni. Our alumni work in different industries, such as the film and television industry, entertainment public relations, marketing and advertising, and more!
