A forecast for several inches of snow and possible blizzard conditions across North Carolina from Jan. 30 through Feb. 1 has affected some hours of operation and Elon University programming.
The following information provides updated hours and impacts to campus operations during a weekend storm forecasted to bring several inches of snow to the region.
Campus Safety
As a reminder, several 24/7 services remain available regardless of weather conditions:
- Campus Safety & Police can be reached at 336-278-5555. They can also assist with connections to the Student Life on-call administrators.
- On-call crisis counselors are available at 336-278-2222.
- SAFEline is available at 336-278-3333 for confidential support with identity-based bias, sexual violence, or interpersonal violence – they can also be a confidential resource to access on-call violence responders.
- TimelyCare free virtual medical and mental health service, is available 24/7 throughout the break from anywhere in the United States.
Adjustments to Campus Events
- Women’s Basketball Game vs. College of Charleston on Friday, January 30, at Schar Center – game time moved to 6 p.m.
- Men’s Basketball Game vs. Stony Brook on Saturday, January 31, at Schar Center – game time moved to 12 noon.
- The Women’s Basketball Game vs. Towson is still planned to be held as scheduled on Sunday, February 1, at 1 p.m. in the Schar Center.
Student organization and club sport travel and van reservations for Saturday and Sunday, January 31 and February 1, have been canceled. For updated, real-time information on student organization events, please visit Phoenix CONNECT.

Belk Library
- Friday, January 30: Regular hours, closing at 5 p.m.
- Saturday, January 31: Regular hours, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday, February 1: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Visit the Belk Library website for information about library hours for non-Phoenix cardholders. Even if you are unable to visit the library in person, ebooks, journals, and other digital resources are available online.

Koury Athletic Center

Elon Dining
Friday, January 30
- Residential dining halls closing at regular hours – Clohan closes at 8 p.m.; Lakeside closes at 9 p.m.
- Qdoba (Daniel Commons) closes at 10 p.m.
- Winter Garden & Flat Out (Lakeside) close at 10 p.m.
- Billy D’s (McEwen Hall) closes at 4 p.m.
- All other locations will close at regular hours.
- Late Night at Lakeside will not be held Friday evening.
Saturday, January 31 & Sunday, February 1
- Lakeside & McEwen: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Wintergarden & Biscuitville: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Freshii & Flat Out: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Late Night at Lakeside will not be held Saturday evening.
Daily menus and hours for on-campus dining locations are always available on the Elon Dining menu and hours site. Location hours could change on short notice due to staffing; always check the hours online before visiting a dining location.
Elon Express Shuttles
Shuttle schedules for Friday, January 30, will run regular hours. Elon Express shuttles and E-Rides will not operate Saturday, January 31, or Sunday, February 1.

Moseley Center
- Friday, January 30: Closing early at 12 midnight.
- Saturday, January 31: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Sunday, February 1: Regular hours – 11 a.m. – 12 midnight.
Mail Services
Mail Services closed at 3 p.m. Friday, January 30. Please plan to pick up any packages you have waiting before this time. Mail Services will be closed Saturday and Sunday, January 31 and February 1.
Student Health Services
Student Health Services will maintain regular hours Friday and Saturday but be closed Sunday.
