Elon University hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 9, 2026, for study spaces featuring adjustable sensory inputs made possible through a grant from the furniture manufacturer Steelcase.

The submission window for the 2026-27 grant competition opens Oct. 1.

Elon students can develop a deeper understanding of sustainability through global experiences abroad, including the ways they travel, interact with communities and engage with different cultural practices. Learning from different cultures helps shape how the Elon community understands and engages with sustainability beyond the borders of campus.
