While the summer 2025 session is complete, applications for spring 2026 are being accepted until Sept. 15, 2025.
Summer students at Elon University Los Angeles gathered with faculty, LA-based alumni and staff at a wrap up dinner last week to celebrate the end of a great, immersive semester in southern California.
Elon alumni Jordan Roman ‘15, Candra Nazzaro ‘05, Eric Hernandez ‘16, Frankie Campisano ‘16 and Miranda Romano ‘16 learned from students directly about their summer experiential learning, community service, academic classes and “Discover LA” excursions at a casual evening on the rooftop of the Wayfarer, a popular downtown LA social destination.
Highlights of summer 2025 at Elon University Los Angeles included the launch of two new and now popular courses, Elon LA Director Brad Lemack’s “Crisis PR: The Fame Edition” and instructor Shun Lee Fong’s “The Business of Content Creation.” Other summer courses included Matthew Antonelli’s The Writers Room, Boris Schaarschmidt’s “Master Class: Directing,” and Elon alum Sean Renner’s course on the history of music in LA.
Summer students also participated in several “Discover LA” excursions, including an LA Dodgers game, visiting the Getty Center, a Warner Bros. studio tour, the Motion Picture Academy Museum, a performance at LA’s go-to improv venue, The Groundlings and a day at Santa Monica Beach.
Two alumni engagement events were presented this summer that connected students with alumni industry pros from a variety of fields and genres. Students also experienced community service with hours volunteered at Elon LA’s nonprofit partner, The Hollywood Food Coalition.
Following their truly immersive Los Angeles experience, students have returned to their homes for a few weeks of vacation before returning to campus for the fall semester.
