Sun Day is a global day of action celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy! Attendees can view and learn about several types of electric vehicles or participate in various sun-themed activities.
The Office of Sustainability is excited to share that Sun Day, a global day of action celebrating clean energy and the sun, will occur this Sunday, Sept. 21 from 2-4 p.m.
An electric vehicle (EV) information session in Moseley 215 will be followed by an EV car show in the Kouryparking lot. Come and view several types of EVs while learning about performance, charging, costs, and their environmental and economic benefits. In addition to the EV car show, there will be several opportunities to engage in sun-themed activities, such as participating in Sun Salutation yoga, making bouquets of native flowers and decorating your own sunflower seed packet to take home.
Kelly Harer, Associate Director of Sustainability for Education and Outreach at Elon, says, “Sun Day is an inspiring opportunity for Elon and the broader community to come together, celebrate clean energy, and share hope for a brighter future,” said Kelly Harer, Elon associate director of sustainability for education and outreach.
This event is free and open to the public, although registration is encouraged. For more information on Sun Day, please visit the Office of Sustainability’s website.
