Andrew Newman, an Elon junior, will attend several events associated with the inauguration of Barack Obama in Washington Jan. 17-21. Newman was selected to participate in the University Presidential Inaugural Conference, an opportunity for alumni of the National Youth Leadership Forum, the Congressional Youth Leadership Council and the International Scholar Laureate Program.

Several videos produced by Elon students and staff are now available to about 1.2 million subscribers to Time Warner Cable systems in North and South Carolina.

Eight Elon School of Communications students met on campus with veteran CBS News “60 Minutes” correspondent Lesley Stahl on Jan. 6, gaining her insights about journalism and her advice about starting their careers.

The St. Louis Rams’ front office recently named Elon alumnus and former football player Billy Devaney the team’s General Manager. Devaney, who played the 1975-77 seasons with Elon, joined the Rams’ staff in February and was promoted to GM on Christmas Eve.

Campus Grotto, a national college news site that covers topics such as student finance, college rankings and other topics related to college life, has named Elon the nation's top private university when it comes to affordability.

Elon University School of Law will host a graduation fair at the law school on March 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The inaugural class of the Elon University School of Law will celebrate the completion of three years of study at Commencement exercises at the Carolina Theatre in Downtown Greensboro at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2009.

Spring 2009 exams will be held at the Elon University School of Law from May 6 to May 20.
