For her project, 'Abortion and Religion: Listening to Women,' Peters sets out to interview over 100 people to understand how religious women in the United States think about their abortions.

The award supports the "MOve Virtually with Elon (MO.V.E.) Program for Individuals with Parkinson's Disease" project.

The funding will support Alamance Youth Connected, which is funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The innovative program supported by the grant will immerse students from underserved populations in the study of freedom, citizenship and democracy and culminate in an annual symposium for the public showcasing their work.

The grant will be used to raise awareness and celebrate the accomplishments of first-generation college students, faculty and staff.

Murfin received the honorarium for her participation in virtual meetings, contributions to improving the curriculum, submission of data for federal grant reporting/research, and cooperation in delivering the PRAC-ED-PA SUD curriculum to her students. 

The award will support efforts to help students encounter introductory interfaith ideas and tools as they engage within the university’s commitment to inclusive excellence.
