Students representing all schools celebrated at the 2022 Center for Writing Excellence Multimodal Writing Competition.

Carignan, an associate professor of history, will participate in an online panel discussion on “Bearing Witness (Reliably or Not),” focusing on Samuel Pepys's Diary: Plague Extracts and Daniel Defoe’s Journal of the Plague Year.

To support the needs of faculty as they work remotely, Writing Across the University has moved Writing Boot Camps, Writing Groups, and the remaining faculty development workshop online.

All faculty and teaching staff are invited to attend this Center for Writing Excellence-sponsored lunch workshop offered by Associate Professor of Mathematics Karen Yokley on "Teaching Writing and Writing-to-Learn in Math and other Quantitative Fields." 

 

Faculty and teaching staff are invited to participate in the CWE's Summer Writing Institute, where we'll review best practices in writing pedagogy and you'll design one short and one long writing assignment by the end of our 3 1/2 days.

Elon students do a great deal of writing in their everyday lives. Their non-academic writing is an important element of their college experience and can positively impact their academic writing as well.
