Campus Compact has named Anna Gillespie '24 a recipient of a Newman Civic Fellowship, which recognizes and supports community-oriented students and is named for Frank Newman, a founder of Campus Compact.

Mike Kanner ’02 is recognized for his financial advising experience and approach to working with his clients.

Colonnades, Elon News Network and Phi Psi Cli all won Best of Show at the annual North Carolina College Media Association gathering hosted virtually by William Peace University.

Eady performed Crusell’s Clarinet Concerto No. 1 and won the annual soloist competition held Sunday, Feb. 21 at Shenandoah Conservatory.

This past weekend, the North Carolina chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing held its first-ever virtual classical vocal competition and conference, with five Elon music majors now advancing to the Mid-Atlantic regional level to be held in March.

Sowande’ Mustakeem ’00, author of “Slavery at Sea: Terror, Sex and Sickness in the Middle Passage,” shares her story of loss, triumph and success, since graduating as Elon’s first African & African-American Studies major.

Elon is featured on the annual list of U.S. doctoral institutions whose graduates were offered Fulbright student awards for 2020-21.

The award recognizes the partnership between the club and Elon, which stretches back at least three decades and has expanded and evolved to include volunteerism, academic service-learning courses, internship and practicum placements, research, fundraising and advocacy.
