Human Service Studies Lecturer Sandra Reid is the 2021 faculty recipient of the annual award recognizing community service. Two seniors were also recognized with the award Thursday.

Elon University students and a staff member were recognized for their leadership with awards sponsored by Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society.

Coffee, a professor in the Department of Middle, Secondary and K-12 Education at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, was also named the winner of the Bank of America Award for Teaching Excellence in September.

The alumna, now a student at Boston College Law School, was awarded one of twelve prestigious fellowships that allow them to work with professional policymakers.
