“Young Filmmakers of Ethiopia,” a one-hour documentary produced by the associate professor of communications, will be shown at the Broadcast Education Association’s On-Location Conference, held at the University of Houston Oct. 18-20.

Kim Shively, Susanne Shawyer, Kevin Otos and Fred Rubrek were among  presented scholarship on dramaturgy and acting technique at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education Annual Conference.

The article, "Resilience and depression: The roles of racial identity, sexual identity and social support on well-being for Black LGB emerging adults” appears in the Journal of Black Sexuality and Relationships.

Started by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, the national initiative encourages individuals to engage with news and raises awareness about the importance of staying informed.
