Two faculty members in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics helped inform current high school teachers of the common pitfalls students make while conveying answers in the free response section of the Advanced Placement statistics exam.

Professor of Music Thomas Erdmann has two articles published in a professional saxophone journal.

The associate professor of religious studies was named the winner of the fourth annual Book Prize awarded by the Southeastern Conference of the Association of Asian Studies for her book "Icons and Iconoclasm in Japanese Buddhism: Kūkai and Dōgen on the Art of Enlightenment."
