Common themes emerged from families on both campuses who attended sessions for those seeking to learn more about the universities' strategic and student-centered intent to merge.

Guided by Elon University Senior Vice President Jim Piatt and Queens University President Emerita Pamela Davies, key administrators from both universities will convene weekly in October to identify options that build community, support students, and honor the histories of both campuses in the lead-up to an official merger.

For the fifth year in a row, Elon University tops a “Best Undergraduate Teaching” list published by U.S. News & World Report, while the university was ranked among the top 10 in the nation in every category that comprises “Programs that Enhance Student Experience.”

For the second consecutive year, the university has been recognized by Insight Into Academia, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education, for its commitment to academic excellence, belonging, and community building.

Elon University is welcoming a new class of students on Friday, Aug. 22. With the incoming students, Elon will now have representation from all 50 states.

The popular college guide’s “Best Law Schools for 2025” includes Elon Law and student praise for its innovative, skills-based curriculum and exceptional faculty and staff.

The university is again featured in an annual guide that showcases colleges that offer an outstanding education with robust career preparation resources for a relatively affordable investment.

One of the entertainment industry’s oldest and most influential publications included Elon University in a ranking that also featured Julliard, Yale, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, among other top schools for the performing arts.

Held from June 24 to August 11 across more than 30 locations nationwide, Summer Welcome Events help incoming students and their families connect with each other and build early ties to the Elon community.
