The Thomas M. Smiddy ’88 and Sherri Smiddy Endowed Scholarship will support students who are active through Fraternity & Sorority Life, the Love School of Business or work-study.

A special College Coffee inside Alumni Gym on Tuesday morning energized the Elon community for its fifth #ElonDay effort.  

Belk and his wife, Carole Grotnes Belk, contributed to the growth of Elon’s campus and athletics facilities across four decades.

All students are invited to the annual Elon Day party in the Moseley Center beginning at 9 p.m.

Elon alumni, parents and friends gathered Jan. 29 for a night of celebration and a discussion about the future of Elon by President Leo M. Lambert and President-elect Connie Ledoux Book. 

The generous gift from Elon trustee, alumnus and parent Jack R. Lindley Sr. ’56 P’83 and his wife, Dorothy C. Lindley P’83, of Burlington, North Carolina, will provide valuable funding to help secure the university’s future.

The 5,100-seat, 160,000-square-foot facility will provide a premier gathering space for major campus events and serve as the new home for Elon's basketball and volleyball programs when it opens this year.

The "Opening Doors" series celebrates the power of scholarships to change the lives of Elon students and the generosity of donors who make this transformation possible.

Elon Trustee and parent Eric Sklut and his wife, Lori Sklut, of Charlotte, North Carolina, will help bring outstanding students to the university and strengthen funding for a Jewish studies professorship.

The dedication was in recognition of the ongoing generosity of Robert A. Clohan III '67 and his family, including a $2 million gift from Clohan and his son, trustee Charles Clohan '98, in support of Richard W. Sankey Hall.
