Elon Alumni Board holds annual spring meeting

The Elon Alumni Board returned to campus March 4-5 to take part in the group's annual spring meeting. The board members focused on two Elon Commitment themes in which alumni will play vital roles over the next decade: the building of a vibrant alumni network and the restructuring of Elon Career Services.
Kelle Sisk ’03 named Burlington (N.C.) Detective of the Year

The Burlington (N.C.) Times-News profiled Sgt. Kelle Sisk, a 2003 Elon alumna, in its Feb. 28 edition. Sisk received the Burlington Police Department's Detective of the Year award earlier in the month.
BJ Fungaroli G’04 spotlighted in the Triangle Business Journal

BJ Fungaroli, a 2004 graduate of Elon's MBA program, was profiled in a Feb. 18 article in the Triangle Business Journal. Fungaroli serves as president and chief executive officer of Morrisville, N.C., based Environmental Holdings Group, which specializes in the rehabilitation and demolition of aging buildings.
Three Elon alumni among N.C. Triad’s ’40 Leaders Under Forty’

The Business Journal of the Greater Triad Area selected three Elon graduates - Kristen Wither Yntema '95, Wade G. Jurney Jr. G'09 and Jeb Brooks L'10 - among its 2011 "40 Leaders Under Forty." They were honored at a Feb. 17 event at the Embassy Suites in Greensboro, N.C., and were profiled in the Feb. 18 edition of the periodical.
Men’s basketball manager finalist in UPS Store contest

Leslie Johnson needs your help to win $10,000 for Elon University. The manager of the Phoenix men’s basketball team, Johnson, a junior marketing major from Raleigh, N.C., is one of four finalists in a video contest sponsored by the UPS Store in which people can vote for their favorite collegiate basketball manager.
Japanese students lead meeting to plan disaster relief

Five Elon students from Japan were joined by about 75 fellow students on March 15 in planning the community's response to the earthquake and tsunami in that country. The brainstorming session was held in the Isabella Cannon International Centre, where students came up with many ideas to raise relief funds and send messages of encouragement to those who are suffering in the wake of the disaster.
College Coffee focuses on disaster in Japan

The Elon campus community is planning efforts to provide support from those suffering the effects of a massive earthquake and tsunami. The efforts were launched at the March 15 College Coffee, where students from Japan spoke about the disaster in their homeland.
