The School of Communications hosted its first-ever trivia contest for members of the Communications Fellows program, testing the students’ knowledge of the Tar Heel state, pop culture and other fun facts.

Ashleigh Afromsky ’22 joined Assistant Professor Jenny Jiang and Professor Qian Xu to examine the job descriptions of nearly 35,000 positions related to media analytics following the COVID-19 pandemic. Their findings were recently published in the March edition of Journalism & Mass Communication Educator.

Chris Bell ’92, Kathie Sink Niven ’89, LaToya Marcus Faustin ’04 G’10, Rich Johnson ’87 P’17 and Laurie Johnson P’17 were honored during the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony on March 24.

The fourth annual event, held at Elon University’s School of Communications, will explore the theme of “Sport Sponsorship and Branding in the Digital Age,” and features two panel discussions delving into technology and social media use, as well as how college athletes are leveraging their name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights.

The strategic communications graduate spoke to seniors about preparing for life after Elon, sharing highlights from her book, "Coming of Age: Our Journey into Adulthood."
