Elon faculty and students presented at the Workshop on Intercultural Skills Enhancement at Wake Forest University on Feb. 21 and 22, 2025

This year’s theme, “The Many Faces of Elon: On Campus & Beyond,” reflects the university’s commitment to broadening students' perspectives and enhancing global awareness through local, national, and international lenses.

Several of the workshops are centered around navigating writing in the age of artificial intelligence.

Nearly 50 students participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience, a unique opportunity where the topics are diverse, along with the personal stories behind them.

A new report has been published by the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) on Mentored Undergraduate Research in Global Contexts, or MUR-GC. The publication, co-edited by Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler, details the integration of the high-impact practices of mentoring, undergraduate research, and global and intercultural learning.

Through the fellowship, the director of the Center for Research on Global Engagement will be advancing her work on mentored undergraduate research in global contexts.

Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler, Eric Hall, Amy Allocco and Jen Hamel, members of a collaborative research group facilitated by the Center for Research on Global Engagement (CRGE), recently published an open-access article in the journal New Directions in Teaching and Learning.

The Workshop on Intercultural Skills Enhancement (WISE) Conference was held on Feb. 3 and 4 at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The director and associate director of Project Pericles at Elon published this work in the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement.
