Through a two-year fellows program, the five members of the Class of 2022 who are part of this interdisciplinary cohort will participate in specialized coursework, faculty-mentored undergraduate research, campus leadership and community engagement in multifaith contexts.

The program enlists Elon alumni who mentor and advise students as they prepare for internships, careers and post-graduation life. 

Elon News Network debuted its first remote show on April 2, with students collaborating across multiple states to serve the Elon community.

The cinema and television arts major and his friends decided to put a twist on the classic sitcom introduction.

Through the power of Zoom video chats, School of Communications alumni – nearly two dozen of them – continue to maintain the connections they first made while producing Elon University’s student-run newscast, “Elon Local News.”

During a March 4 on-campus discussion, panelists with expertise in media law, media ethics and psychology addressed cancel culture, a need for empathy, and the psychological impact of limitless access to information.

Twenty-one students attended the 2020 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, interacting with Elon alumni working – and gaining recognition – in the film and entertainment industries.

Led by Associate Professor Amanda Sturgill, two School of Communications students and two Elon alumni shot and edited video and photography at the February event that featured top computer programming students from the United States and Canada.

The public event, set for Wednesday, March 4, will explore today’s cancel culture, the distinction between shame and embarrassment, and the role of media/journalism in public discourse.

Thirty-two Communications Fellows toured 11 companies on a two-week trip to the Sunshine state, speaking with industry professionals, enjoying hands-on experiences, and exploring future job possibilities.
