In partnership with the PR Council, the School of Communications hosted its PR Agency Careers Diversity and Inclusion Panel Discussion on Feb. 25. The wisdom session and ensuing networking reception featured strategic communications and human resources executives from W20 Group, Ketchum, Weber Shandwick, Taylor Global, FleishmanHillard, Finsbury and EP+Co.

The Pendulum, Phi Psi Cli and Colonnades all pick up Best of Show honors at the annual North Carolina College Media Association gathering.

In this column distributed by the Elon University Writers Syndicate, Associate Professor of Communications Tom Nelson recounts the life and achievements of pioneering journalist William Monroe Trotter. The column was published in The Times-News of Burlington and the Fayetteville Observer. 

The honorees, young alumni who have achieved major professional success, serve as difference-makers in their communities and loyally support Elon as partners, advocates and investors, will be recognized April 13.

School of Communications Professor Janna Anderson and Advisory Board member Lee Rainie gave an address on “trust in the digital future” on Feb. 20 in Washington, D.C.

The WSOC-TV journalist was recognized for his dogged reporting that helped establish with certainty that McCrae Dowless, a Republican political consultant, orchestrated a plot to influence a rural North Carolina congressional race.
