The School of Communications dean visited 10 COM 100 classes to begin the fall 2015 semester, providing insight into the school’s curriculum, expansion plans and student media organizations.

Jessalynn Strauss, an assistant professor in the School of Communications, wrote her first book, "Challenging Corporate Social Responsibility: Lessons for public relations from the casino industry," demonstrating the paradoxes in contemporary corporate social responsibility through the example of the gambling industry.

Time Warner Cable News interviewed Jonathan Albright about Vester Lee Flanagan’s actions on Facebook and Twitter following his Aug. 26, 2015, murder of two Virginia television journalists. 

The associate dean in the School of Communications co-authored a book chapter in “The Routledge Handbook of Critical Public Relations,” published in August 2015.

The assistant professor of sport and event management serves as a co-editor for the fall 2015 issue of New Directions in Student Leadership, which highlights student leadership development within recreation and athletic environments.
