When Robert Hoppey '09 saw a tough job market in the year leading up to his graduation, he built a "souped-up multimedia resume" that included a video spoof of "The Office" television program to show potential employers his creative side. CBS Evening News took note, too, and Hoppey was featured in a June 8 nationwide segment on the ways college graduates are marketing themselves in an economic recession.

Elon University junior Josh Chagani has been awarded the LIN Television Corporation Minority Scholarship and Training Program for 2009, a national award that will pay up to $20,000 annually in expenses for tuition, fees, books, room and board during his junior and senior years.

Win Stuff, Elon University's pop-culture game show, has won two Communicator Awards from a pool of more than 7,000 entries. The most recent Awards of Distinction from the organization are the show's third and fourth in the past two seasons.
