School of Communications

The class of 2024 consists of 35 students across the School of Communications’ six undergraduate majors.

The Elon graduate and former news director of “Elon Local News” was part of a three-person crew conducting interviews and gathering footage of arriving first-year and transfer students.

The lecturer in cinema and television arts served as the directory of photography on Vox’s recent project highlighting water pollution in the Tar Heel state.

The professorships support members of the faculty from a variety of disciplines across the university.

The student-run strategic communications agency plans to onboard a new client, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, this fall following a successful partnership with Lecturer Hal Vincent’s class last spring.

The strategic communications and marketing double major presented at the Lenovo philanthropy board meeting as part of her summer internship with the multinational technology company.

During the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s 2020 national convention – held virtually for the first time in 103 years – 13 School of Communications faculty members presented research, shared professional experiences and directed topical discussions.

These four awards recognize members of the Elon community for excellence in teaching, scholarship, civic engagement and mentoring.

In a special video, the university recognized those members of the faculty and staff who have served for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years at the university.

The communication design major is the School of Communications’ seventh LAGRANT scholar in the last four years.
