The Elon alumna’s News21 Fellowship has moved online this summer, but that hasn’t stopped Traxler from reporting on the juvenile justice system, examining employee misconduct and racial disparity.

The town halls for students and alumni will address the School of Communications' diversity, equity and inclusion report.

The Elon University graduate was presented with the Emma Bowen Foundation’s Outstanding Student of the Year Award, and will appear in the upcoming “Family of Us: A PBS American Portrait Story” series.

The communication design and international business double major was recently recognized in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Green Eyeshade Awards competition.

Elon University saw 21 faculty and staff members retire this academic year.

This summer nine School of Communications students are interning virtually at RadicalMedia, working on PBS’s American Portrait project.

During his final Winter Term session, the journalism and international & global studies double major traveled to northern Brazil to report on the country’s resurgence of leprosy, learning about the infectious disease, the people fighting it, and himself as a journalist.

The rising junior is working with RadicalMedia on the “PBS American Portrait” series this summer, helping further her journalism and multimedia career goals.
