John delivered the Fall Convocation address on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Schar Center.

Specializing in metabolism and nutrition, Lustig helped listeners learn the ways food choices contribute to common disease and metabolic syndrome in this Voices of Discovery series lecture.

Guzmán, the author of Elon's Common Reading selection, "I Never Thought of It That Way: How to Have Fearlessly Curious Conversations in Dangerously Divided Times," spoke to the Elon community on Sept. 21 for the 2023-24 Common Reading Lecture.

John will deliver the Fall Convocation address on Friday, Sept. 29 during Family Weekend in the Schar Center at 3:30 p.m.

The author of "I Never Thought of It That Way: How to Have Fearlessly Curious Conversations in Dangerously Divided Times" will speak to the Elon community and host workshops on Thursday, Sept. 21 and Friday, Sept 22.

Among those visiting Elon will be journalist and author Mónica Guzmán, entrepreneur Daymond John, activist and CEO Reshma Saujani and the authors of “We are Charleston: Tragedy and Triumph at Mother Emanuel.”

Ten individuals nominated by their colleagues were recipients of five annual awards recognizing contributions to teaching, mentoring, scholarship and service.
