Student-athletes in five sports led or shared the lead for the highest Academic Progress Rates in the Colonial Athletic Association.

All 12 Elon students who were selected as semifinalists by the prestigious program that offers opportunities abroad for recent graduates were either selected as finalists or named alternates.

Taylor comes to Elon after three years as an assistant coach at the University of Iowa, with previous head coaching experience at Lehigh University, Ball State University and Belmont Abbey College.

Taylor comes to Elon from the University of Iowa, where he has served for the last three seasons as an assistant coach under Fran McCaffery.

George is one of 417 students across the nation awarded the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship.
