Elon Sports Vision

The 2026 Sport Management Symposium convened media executives, conference leaders and content creators to discuss how streaming platforms, advertising models and shifting audience habits are transforming sports media.

The Elon alumnus has been named coordinating producer for Elon Sports Vision, where he will oversee student crews and strengthen mentorship and professional development within the program.

Hosted by the Department of Sport Management, the annual Sport Management Symposium – held in Turner Theatre – will bring together students and industry leaders for an in-depth look at how broadcast, streaming and technology are reshaping live sports.

Through panels, research spotlights and interactive conversations, the Nov. 14 event examined the momentum driving change across today’s sport landscape.

The Elon alumnus’ passion for “America’s pastime” and flair for storytelling have made him one of the brightest rising voices in professional baseball.

The 2025 Sport Management Internship Forum, held Sept. 29 in Turner Theatre, brought together Elon students to share their summer experiences with organizations across the sport industry, from NBC Universal to the New York Islanders.

The sport management major is spending the summer with NBCUniversal as a Phillies broadcast intern, shadowing different roles at Citizens Bank Park. The internship has given him opportunities to connect with veteran broadcasters, producers and writers, while researching how sports betting is shaping real-time storytelling in baseball.

The student-led crew’s victory reflects years of growth, technical excellence, and a shared commitment to capturing high-level collegiate broadcasts.

The cinema and television arts professor earned a Sports Emmy for his role as a digital replay operator during the network’s 2024 Paris Olympics coverage.

Among the evening’s award recipients were Brynja Burton ’25, named Major of the Year, and Will Ferris ’25, who earned the James P. Drummond Service Award.
