It is a day for the Jewish community to consider its actions of the past year and commit to living better in the year to come. Jewish Life at Elon welcomed the incoming class of 2030 with a shabbat dinner and Jewish activity fair. Rabbi Maor Greene delivered a teaching on how the Jewish community at Elon supports one another. Representatives from Hillel, Chabad, AEPi, AEPhi and Hebrew Club also attended the event.

During the Summer Academy, Elon Academy scholars take academic, life skills and college-prep courses. An important aspect of the program includes Evening Sessions, which have historically served as the scholars' extracurricular programming

As the 2026-27 academic year begins, Elon University is opening a new school, launching innovative new programs and constructing new facilities for the campus community.

Major construction projects completed this summer and underway across campus will enhance student wellness, academic spaces and campus infrastructure in the coming years.

Anu Räisänen, director of HealthEU initiatives and assistant professor and Lynda Butler-Storsved, associate teaching professor of wellness, recently published an educational brief in the Building Healthy Academic Communities Journal (BHAC) on the application of a collaboration framework in well-being work.

In addition to supporting Elon’s future health and wellness hub, the gift from Trustee Bob Chandler and Amy Chandler will provide funding to make global experiences possible for student-athletes.

Inspired by Book’s service to Elon, Trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79 has made a $500,000 gift to name the gathering space at the university’s future health and wellness hub.

Elon students, faculty and staff engaged with campus resources and experiences that emphasized well-being as an ongoing, shared effort.
