Through the membership, students volunteer at least three times per semester and participate in the Institutes for Civic and Community Engagement, monthly gatherings designed to deepen understanding of local needs and build leadership skills.

Each fall, members of the Elon University community come together for the event to help fight food insecurity across the globe.

By making service exploration more intentional, this tool empowers students to make a lasting impact while growing personally and professionally throughout their undergraduate experience and beyond. 

Christine Emery '93 has spent her life volunteering and couldn’t be prouder of her decision. She has given back to her community through several roles in non-profits, and with Elon University helping to establish Elon Volunteers.

The Student Government Association (SGA) and the Kernodle Center for Civic Life collaborated to implement an alternative spring break trip, giving students and staff the opportunity to support disaster relief efforts in western North Carolina for communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.
