The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business welcomed new full-time faculty members in the Department of Economics, the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, and the Department of Marketing and International Business.

Nine first-year students participated in the five-day Developing a Growth Mindset Through Innovation and Entrepreneurship summer experience, which exposed them to the possibilities of innovation and entrepreneurship while acclimating them to the Elon campus.

Students in the Human Resource Management Strategy and Consulting course worked as consultants during service-learning projects for Habitat for Humanity of Alamance County, Open Door Clinic of Alamance County, Elon’s Accelerated 3+1 Dual Degree program and Elon’s Office of Human Resources.

The one-day event featured speakers from SAS Institute, Duke University, N.C. A&T State University, BNH.AI and The Redwoods Group.

The director of the Doherty Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship successfully completed the two-year program managed by the University Innovation Fellows program at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

The certification requires a combination of academic coursework in project management and the successful completion of a rigorous three-hour, 150-question certification exam.

Elon’s chapter of the national honorary and professional management society initiated new members during a spring ceremony.

The creation of The Burlington Restaurant Guide by eight Elon students and the general manager of Burlington Beer Works was featured in a recent Times-News article.

In a session during the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology annual conference, Lyons and Moorman presented research they co-authored with alumna Alina Prengel ’20.

Elon’s chapter of the international business honor society inducted 53 students in a spring ceremony, which included an address from chapter honoree Derek Steed, senior vice president, secretary and general counsel at Glen Raven, and naming Lecturer Chris Baker "Professor of the Year."
