Physical Therapy Research

This summer several faculty, staff and alumni in the Department of Physical Therapy Education were accepted to present research at conferences, published articles or had articles in press.

 

Srikant Vallabhajosula, an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy Education, presented a poster, "Spatiotemporal gait variability among high school football players" at the 2013 American College of Sports Medicine conference in Indianapolis on June 1.

The paper, "A Case Study: Mobility and Health Impact of an Aquatic Fitness Program for a Woman With Intellectual and Physical Disabilities," was published in May in the International Journal of Aquatic Research and Education.

A graduate research study at the Department of Physical Therapy of Elon is currently seeking volunteers with chronic low back pain.  

 

 

Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Srikant Vallabhajosula co-authored an article that appeared in the the journal Surgical Innovation.

Associate Professor of Physical Therapy Daryl Lawson co-authored an article that appeared in the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy.

Janet M. Cope, Ph.D., OTR/L, associate professor of physical therapy, and Stewart Holt, Ph.D., molecular biology, have published an article in the Journal of Physical Therapy Education with Erin Sanders G'09, and third-year DPT students Laura Corriher and Davis Templeton.
