The Assistant Professor of Political Science and Policy Studies, along with 2023 graduates, Sara Arora and Nicole Cason, recently published a peer-reviewed article describing a form of lobbying they call, “show and tell advocacy.”

Ten individuals nominated by their colleagues were recipients of five annual awards recognizing contributions to teaching, mentoring, scholarship and service.

Elon’s Department of Political Science and Policy Studies has hosted the Pi Sigma Alpha Undergraduate Journal of Politics since fall 2020. Students and faculty will continue editorial oversight of the national political science honor society’s journal for another three-year term through 2026.

The Elon University Poll conducted a survey of nearly 1,300 N.C. voters asking for their thoughts on the legalization of sports betting, changes to abortion laws in North Carolina and how they rate candidates for N.C. governor and for president.  

Rugbart will study this summer at the University of Bristol through the program, which is sponsored by the U.S.-U.K. Fulbright Commission. He becomes the third Elon student selected in recent years for the prestigious program.
