Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, co-authored the article in the peer-reviewed journal Teaching and Teacher Education.

​Teacher candidates who will complete their Elon student teaching experience at Alamance-Burlington School System in the spring will attend a seminar titled, "Effective Teacher Training."

Students enrolled in teacher education courses have the opportunity to work closely with the local schools and community agencies through a variety of partnerships. On Oct. 12, the School of Education will host an orientation for all clinical teachers to learn more about the mission, goals, and expectations of clinical experiences.

The School of Education welcomed two new faculty members and one new staff member for the 2017-18 academic year.
