The Elon senior was one of 50 students nationwide selected to participate in the American Advertising Federation’s virtual program. For four days in late January, the nation’s top multicultural college seniors will work, network and build their personal brand with the help from advertising, marketing and media professionals.

As associate dean for undergraduate affairs and assessment, Weaver will help guide undergraduate academic programs in partnership with Dean Rochelle Ford and School of Communications faculty and staff members.

In the most recent edition of the Elon Journal, student researchers delve into a variety of media-related topics, including the framing of online news coverage of the coronavirus in the United States.

The associate dean and associate professor in the School of Communications lauded as a “fount of wisdom and integrity” as he concludes 35-plus years at Elon University.

Hosted by the School of Communications and the Department of Public Health Studies, an informal conversation on Nov. 10 spotlighted seven Elon alumnae and their experiences working in the expanding field of health communications.

The chair of the Journalism Department teamed with School of Communications faculty members Julie Lellis, Doug Kass and Brooks Fuller to produce an introductory media writing textbook specific to the needs of the school’s students.

The Careers in Communication Design alumni and friends panel, hosted virtually on Oct. 19, offered students insight into professional design careers.
