The North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys recognized Katherine Bordwine L’18 with an annual award named in honor of retired North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Sarah Parker.

To honor a local attorney's unwavering support of her legal studies, student Wendy Smith made a gift to Elon Law that was celebrated June 7 with the unveiling of a plaque recognizing G. Steve Crihfield for his commitment to encouraging students who are pursuing a career in law.

Students in the Class of 2018 who excelled during their first year at Elon Law were recognized June 1 at a Starmount Country Club dinner featuring remarks from alumna Chelsea Anderson '10 L'13.

Bestowed at Commencement, the David Gergen Award for Leadership & Professionalism recognizes graduating students in each class who embody the highest levels of selfless leadership and service.

Students in the Class of May 2017 received their degrees in an Alumni Gym ceremony highlighted by remarks from Robert J. Grey Jr., a former president of the American Bar Association who implored the group to "guard against injustice." 

Graduation has been moved indoors to Alumni Gym due to the threat of afternoon rain and storms.

On the eve of Commencement, students in the Class of May 2017 and their families gathered in the Elon Law library to recognize outstanding academic performance, pro bono work, and service to the law school. 

Elon's four Commencement ceremonies this week will be streamed live online. 

The Hon. James G. Exum Jr., who steps away from teaching this spring after serving Elon Law as Distinguished Professor of the Judicial Process, was recognized during a May 10 awards luncheon that celebrated Elon University educators, mentors and retiring professors.

Timaura Barfield, Sarah Rozek and David Wheaton - members of Elon Law’s Class of 2018 - accepted distinguished work placements as part of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession 1L Summer Associate Program.
